Amal Yigal Alon Middle School in Ramla sits at the heart of one of Israel’s most complex cities, where Jewish, Muslim, and Christian students, as well as newcomers and veteran families, learn together in a climate marked by war, loss, and economic hardship. This project seeks overseas philanthropic partners to ensure no child is left behind by providing experiences and programs that nurture belonging, resilience, and shared values, even for those whose families cannot afford enrichment or trips.
The initiative is built around three interconnected efforts: a community garden and memorial orchard honoring local heroes and involving students in hands-on projects; a new center for learning about the land, heritage, and civic responsibility; and reimagined “Journeys of Meaning”—annual grade-wide trips that deepen identity, leadership, and community ties. A leadership program for selected students develops future changemakers who guide peers and shape school culture.
With an investment of 330,000 NIS, donors will enable a cycle of growth and impact measured by professional evaluation and documented in a dedicated report. Supporting this project means building a bridge between global donors and communities determined to heal and thrive, modeling the kind of inclusive, resilient society that can shape Israel’s future.
