A calm room is a haven within schools, providing students with a dedicated space to manage their emotions, alleviate stress, and refocus outside the traditional classroom setting. It serves as a proactive measure to prevent overwhelming feelings of anger or anxiety, promoting emotional resilience and well-being among students. Recognizing the invaluable impact of calm rooms, Amal is committed to integrating them into each of its schools, fostering environments conducive to both learning and personal growth. Through philanthropic support we aim at adding to existing spaces features such as comfortable seating arrangements, soft ambient music, tranquil nature imagery, and soothing wall colors. The implementation of calming activities will equip students with valuable tools to manage their emotions effectively and cultivate a sense of inner peace. These spaces are necessary to combat the effects of the war in Gaza and the ramifications it has had on our students.

The Community Engagement Program is a comprehensive, research-based social and emotional learning program that builds a school-wide community, develops students’ social skills, and enables a transformative stance on discipline. This program promotes positive behavior through direct teaching of responsibility, empathy and cooperation, creating settings where students feel heard, known, and cared for. Students become intrinsically motivated to contribute productively to a community they feel invested in, and where they know they matter. It can be done in hospitals, in elderly homes, in rehabilitation institutions etc. The funds raised will go towards moderators and logistics.

The Amal Academic Advancement Program aims at supporting outstanding alumni accepted into prestigious academic programs. This initiative is crucial for their personal growth, Israeli economy, and its democratic strength. By investing in fields like medicine, technology arts and education, we secure Israel’s future prosperity in areas whose demand is in decline. Philanthropic support will enable the Amal Educational Network to offer tailored assistance, guiding students through university and towards impactful careers.
