Celebrating Creativity and Excellence: Amal Students Win Big at National Youth Entrepreneurship Events
A year of tireless work, boundless creativity, and unshakable determination culminated this week in a truly unforgettable celebration at the Expo Tel Aviv, as the Amal network marked a joyful milestone: major wins at Israel’s leading youth entrepreneurship competitions. The excitement was electric as students, teachers, and mentors from across the country gathered to see their ideas—and their dreams—come to life.
At the heart of the evening was the Unistream Young Entrepreneurs Competition, where teams from six Amal schools proudly presented projects they had developed throughout the year.
Among the standout innovations was “BinGo,” an ingenious smart trash bin designed by students from Amal Zarzir, that automatically updates shopping lists as groceries run out and helps reduce food waste. Their project’s practical impact and ingenious use of technology so impressed the judges that the Zarzir team was awarded first place in the prestigious NIFTY competition—a moment of collective pride for the entire network.
Meanwhile, at the Unistream Center in Safed, another Amal team celebrated victory, winning first place in the national second-year competition. These achievements were the fruit of months spent moving from idea to innovation: students brainstormed, experimented, perfected their business plans, and honed their presentation skills until, at last, they took to the stage for one magical evening.
Other teams presented equally inspiring ideas, such as “Prize,” an educational initiative championing positive encouragement over punishment in schools, and “FlavourDrop,” an eco-friendly flavour capsule for water created to make healthy hydration fun and accessible. Creative solutions like the “ThermoGo” smart bottle showed a flair for blending daily needs with entrepreneurial flair.
“It’s a tremendous celebration of creativity, entrepreneurship, and youthful talent—a true joy!”, declared Karen Tal, Director General of the Amal Network and a judge at the event, her pride and emotion clear as she spoke from the stage. “Huge congratulations to Orit and to everyone who spends all year advancing these programs and supporting our students’ self-fulfillment.
The entire evening was a testament to what’s possible when educators, mentors, and students pour their hearts into a shared vision. Special thanks went out to Unistream for the inspiring platform and to the teachers, guides, and students whose commitment made these victories reality. Once again, Amal’s young entrepreneurs proved that the future is indeed in capable, creative hands.
