Amal Ma’ale Adumim Wins First Place in Prestigious SpaceLab Competition
A remarkable achievement for Amal’s Dekel Vilnai Junior High School in Ma’ale Adumim! The school has won first place nationally in the prestigious Ramon SpaceLab program, and the experiment developed by its students will be launched to the International Space Station next year.
The winning experiment, which focuses on preventing joint erosion in microgravity, is a testament to the students’ curiosity, scientific inquiry, and groundbreaking educational innovation. Their journey was guided by their dedicated science teacher, Limor, and mentor, Nofar, and made possible through the school leadership’s vision, strong community support, and unwavering partnership with Ma’ale Adumim Municipality and Mayor Beni Kashriel—who all believe in the power of education to reach the highest aspirations.
The Ramon SpaceLab program, Israel’s leading educational initiative in space science, gives students a rare opportunity to design and send experiments to the International Space Station. The program fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and research skills, equipping students with NASA-inspired methodologies and cutting-edge project management tools.
At Amal, we believe that innovation is not limited to technology, robotics, or the digital world. True innovation is any initiative that improves our lives and strengthens the bond between schools and their communities. This incredible achievement is a shining example of how education can inspire students to dream big, explore new frontiers, and push the limits of what is possible.
Congratulations to the students, teachers, and all those who made this success possible. You have brought pride to Amal, Ma’ale Adumim, and Israeli science!
