Amal Zefat Launches a New Rescue & Emergency Response Program

As Israel marks 20 months of war in Gaza and emerges from 12 tense days of direct confrontation with Iran, the role of education has never felt more urgent – or more relevant.

In response to the growing need for skilled and courageous civil responders, Amal Educational Network is proud to announce the launch of a new Rescue and Emergency Response course at the Amal Zefat High School. This unique and highly sought-after program is among the only ones of its kind in Israel’s public education system – and it’s opening just when Israeli society needs it most.

Students enrolled in the program will learn far more than basic emergency response. Through rigorous field training, first aid certification, and teamwork exercises, they will acquire critical life-saving skills and cultivate a deep sense of civic duty, leadership, and resilience. The program includes practical simulations of emergency situations, navigation and survival trips, and immersive outdoor learning. It’s a hands-on, high-energy course designed to be both meaningful and fun – combining adrenaline, purpose, and personal growth.

In today’s volatile environment, these are not just professional skills – they are the foundations of a new kind of citizenship.

This course is more than just an academic track; it is a mission. It speaks directly to the heart of Amal’s educational vision: to give students the tools to thrive, to lead, and to serve their communities in times of crisis and calm alike.

We invite our partners and supporters to take pride in this new initiative – a clear example of how public education, when done right, doesn’t just teach facts. It builds character, saves lives, and strengthens society from within.
