Meet the Amal Delegation at Bett 2026
Amal Educational Network sent a six-strong delegation to the Bett 2026 conference in London, one of the world’s leading EdTech gatherings, held this year from 21–23 February at ExCeL with thousands of global participants, hundreds of exhibitors and a packed programme on AI, digital strategy,
skills for the future and inclusive education. The Amal team included Tamar Peled Amir, Vice Director General for Education, R&D and Technology, Dr. Dovi Weiss, Head of EdTech Innovation, school principals Sarit Melamed (Holtz), Sawsan and Yehudit Iluk (Ma’Aleh Adumim), and the head of the innovation center at Emek Harod, Karen Ramot, representing the full span of Amal’s pedagogical, technological and school leadership.
Over three intensive days, the representatives followed a focused, guided tour through the main exhibition pavilions, which were broadly divided between hardware (devices, robotics, immersive environments) and software and platform solutions (AI tools, learning platforms, data and assessment systems), all aligned with Bett’s “learning without limits” theme and emphasis on AI, digital transformation and SEND inclusion. Alongside Israel’s other school networks, such as Ort, the Amal delegation explored how these tools can support future-ready skills, safer and more personalised learning environments, and innovative models of teaching and assessment.
Beyond the exhibition floor, the team took part in lectures, live classroom showcases and networking formats such as Tech User Labs and TableTalks, which highlighted global best practice in AI in education, teacher professional development, wellbeing, cyber security and inclusion. The delegation used these sessions to meet peers, experts and partners from around the world and to gather concrete ideas for strengthening Amal’s EdTech strategy and innovation work across schools and regional centers.
The Amal representatives returned to Israel with a rich collection of tools, contacts and insights and are already exploring ways to translate them into practical pilots, professional development and updated digital strategy within the network. Looking ahead, the team is planning a follow-up Amal conference in Israel next year to share lessons from Bett 2026 with principals and teachers nationwide and to continue positioning Amal at the forefront of educational innovation and responsible use of AI in Israeli education.
