New MAXFUN Center Opens at Max Fein
Amal Educational Network has inaugurated a new hub of creativity, culture, and resilience on the campus of the Max Fein Vocational High School in Tel Aviv: the MAXFUN Center, a renewed space for conferences, arts, and sports at the heart of the school. The center currently hosts a striking exhibition of works by graduates, reflecting the school’s role as a home and creative sanctuary for students who come from diverse backgrounds, often challenging.

Max Fein is known as a place where leadership begins with the principal, Ofir Levy, and flows through a dedicated educational team that works day and night to help each student regain a sense of capability, dignity, and belonging. The campus brings together a human mosaic of different religions, colors, and communities, united by a shared commitment to education, optimism, and hope, and by a belief that every young person deserves a second chance and a path to a meaningful future. In the school’s vocational tracks and creative programs, students not only learn trades and complete their studies, but also find their voice, tell their stories, and discover that they are celebrated rather than defined by their challenges.
The inauguration of MAXFUN carries special significance after the Max Fein campus was struck twice by missiles during the recent war, including a direct hit on classrooms that, by great fortune, were empty at the time. Amal seized this moment not only to repair war damage but to completely renew an already fragile infrastructure and transform a shattered space into a vibrant, future-facing center that radiates creativity, innovation, and life. The investment in the new center sends a clear message to students and staff: Amal will do everything possible to restore routine after an exceptionally difficult period and to turn the campus into a place where it is a joy to arrive every morning.
For Amal, MAXFUN is also a statement of values and a call to shared responsibility. By creating a welcoming, inclusive campus where every student can find their unique strengths and feel seen, Amal is modeling for young people what mutual responsibility looks like in practice and how receiving support today can grow into social and community commitment in the future. With philanthropic partners in Israel and around the world, the network is determined to continue closing educational gaps, rebuilding war-damaged spaces into centers of opportunity, and ensuring that students at Max Fein and across Amal not only recover from crisis, but are equipped to lead, give back, and help shape a more just and resilient Israeli society.
