Three Remarkable Amal Achievements

At Amal Educational Network, excellence is not confined to geography, language, or background. This week, we are proud to celebrate three remarkable achievements—each from a different school, each representing a different community, and all sharing one powerful vision: curiosity, innovation, and a deep commitment to shaping Israel’s future through education.

At the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, students from Amal Aerospace and Space High School showcased their outstanding sustainability research projects at Israel’s first National Youth Climate Conference. With the President, the Minister of Environmental Protection, and Dr. Dov Khenin in attendance, this inspiring event underscored the power of youth leadership in tackling global challenges. At Amal, we believe students shouldn’t just learn about the world—they should be equipped to improve it.

In northern Israel, the Druze town of Kisra-Smia celebrated a historic milestone: its education system, developed in deep partnership with Amal, was named one of the winners of the National Education Prize for 2024. This recognition reflects years of visionary leadership, values-driven pedagogy, and authentic collaboration between school leaders, teachers, local government, and families—all working together to elevate education from early childhood to higher education.

And in the Gilboa region, Amal Akhwa Gilboa High School, led by Principal Abd Abu Ahmad, was honored with the National Award for Excellence in Advancing STEM Education. The school was selected among 98 winners nationwide for its groundbreaking educational leadership and a significant increase in students completing the demanding “Bagrut-Tech” matriculation track in recent years. This achievement reflects a deep commitment to innovation, technological excellence, and preparing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and thinkers in Israel.

Three schools. Three communities. One network. At Amal, we see our diversity as our greatest strength. These success stories—Jewish, Druze, and Arab—are not exceptions; they are the daily reality of what we do. Especially in the aftermath of war and division, we believe that shared society, educational excellence, and mutual respect are the keys to rebuilding a stronger, more united Israel. To our students, educators, school leaders, and partners: thank you for showing what’s possible when vision meets dedication.
