Amal’s vision is to establish a vibrant innovation center in every one of its 50 high schools across Israel, creating a national fabric of hubs where students from diverse communities learn by doing, innovate for the public good, and experience democracy as a lived practice rather than an abstract concept. Through these hubs, Amal will truly be able to say that its students can access top‑quality experiential learning that sparks curiosity, cultivates responsibility, and opens pathways to higher education and meaningful careers.
At the heart of these innovation centers is a holistic educational philosophy that views the school as an anchor in its community and the student as an active shaper of society. The centers are designed as flexible, inviting spaces that host robotics, app development, advanced STEM programs, hackathons and youth‑led ventures, while embedding core civic values such as tolerance, non‑violence, equality, inclusion and trust in public institutions in every activity.
By integrating expert mentorship in democracy, civic education, social entrepreneurship and technology, and by fostering structured collaboration between Jewish, Arab, Druze and Bedouin students within the Amal network, each center becomes a powerful engine for intergroup trust, democratic leadership, and innovation for the general good.
Scaling this model from three successful centers that operate today, in Amal Hadera, Amal Zafed and Amal Beer Sheva to all Amal high schools will turn innovation centers into a long‑term, system‑wide engine for rebuilding Israel through the best education possible. With sustained institutional investment and strategic partnerships, the network of centers will generate replicable programs that position Amal as Israel’s leading educational network for civic innovation and social‑tech entrepreneurship. In every locality, the presence of an Amal innovation center will signal a commitment to social mobility, experiential and adventure‑based learning, and a pedagogy that insists that excellence in education must always go hand in hand with the need to cultivate engaged and informed citizens.
