Friends of Amal USA has been a vital partner in advancing the mission of Amal Educational Network for nearly four decades. Founded in 1986, the association was established to support its schools and students through educational initiatives, scholarships, visiting delegations, and the renewal of learning spaces and technology that help create stronger educational environments.

What began as a committed circle of supporters has become a meaningful bridge between Amal communities in Israel and friends of Amal in the United States. Among its founders was Israel Blum, a graduate of Amal Petach Tikva, who together with other board members helped build an organization that has remained deeply committed to enriching students lives and strengthening the network’s educational vision.

Over the years, Friends of Amal USA has helped make possible projects that go beyond funding alone and were acting like family everytime delegations of high school students arrived in the USA to competitions, to exchange programs or to educational expeditions. Their presence in the lives of Amal students and graduates alike has been an anchor and a backbone to so many students from diverse communities, and helped shape the everyday atmosphere of learning.

Today, as Amal continues to serve a broad and diverse student population across Israel, Friends of Amal USA stands as a reminder that meaningful educational impact is built through long-term partnership.

As we approach the 40th anniversary of Friends of Amal USA and look ahead to Amal Educational Network’s centennial, the association is entering a renewed phase of philanthropic engagement to further strengthen its support for high school education rooted in shared society and civic values. We invite friends and donors to join us in supporting Amal’s many projects and initiatives, and to take part in the profound difference this network continues to make in the lives of students from across Israel’s diverse communities.
