Building Israel’s Academic Future Through highschool Education

As the new academic year begins across Israel, over 350,000 students are entering 57 universities and colleges. While popular disciplines like Social Sciences and Engineering continue to draw the highest enrollments, alongside strong demand in Medicine, Law, Education and Humanities, students face unprecedented hurdles.
According to recent data from the National Union of Israeli Students, 70% report severe financial anxiety, and 81% report they must work while studying, leading one-third of all students to consider dropping out. At the same time, top institutions face structural pressures, including high student-to-faculty ratios that have impacted global rankings. Yet despite these mounting challenges, the core strengths of Israeli academia—its spirit of innovation, research excellence, and intellectual resilience—remain undiminished.
Connecting secondary education to higher education and meaningful employment is where the ultimate opportunity lies. At the Amal Educational Network, we build the vital bridge that transforms young talent into Israel’s future academic, technological, and civic leadership.
Amal’s specialized tracks excel in cutting-edge STEM disciplines, data, and engineering, while placing equal emphasis on History, the Humanities, and the Arts. By nurturing analytical minds alongside critical thinking and civic values, Amal ensures that students from all backgrounds and regions are fully prepared to enter higher education, navigate its rigorous demands and thrive in high-impact careers.
Investing in Amal means directly addressing these systemic hurdles and strengthening Israel’s long-term resilience. To bridge the severe financial and academic gap between secondary school, higher education and quality employment, Amal is establishing a dedicated Scholarship Fund for Network Alumni. With 63% of students feeling that national policy neglects their needs and upcoming elections placing young people’s future at center stage, supporting this educational continuum guarantees that Israel remains a regional powerhouse not only in technology and innovation, but also in moral strength, critical thought, and civic values. We invite our global partners and donors to empower our alumni through this scholarship initiative, securing a clear and supported pathway from secondary education to academic success and quality employment for the next generation.
