Amal Network Inaugurates Sixth “Imagination Lab” in Tiberias

Amal’s Nofarim School in Tiberias celebrated an exciting milestone yesterday with the official opening of its new Imagination Lab: an immersive learning space where classroom walls transform into dynamic digital environments and students become active explorers. Speaking at the ceremony, Amal’s Director Genera, Karen Tal, captured the vision behind this innovation: “The Imagination Lab is not just a technological space, it’s where dreams take flight. Tiberias Mayor Yossi Naba praised school principal Dekel Arusi for turning last year’s dream into today’s reality, successfully integrating cutting-edge pedagogy with community needs.

This sixth Imagination Lab exemplifies Amal’s comprehensive strategy to renew educational infrastructure and deliver exceptional learning experiences to thousands of students across the network. The initiative reflects deep collaborative partnerships with municipalities, civil society organizations and philanthropy, bringing together the Athena Fund, the Jewish Federation of Saint Paul through the Kinneret Partnership of the Jewish Agency, the Histadrut, and the Municipality of Tiberias.

As Uri Ben Ari, President of the Athena Fund, noted, Amal’s teachers have become national pioneers in developing content for these labs, transforming the project into a complete pedagogical methodology that empowers both students and educators.

The Tiberias lab represents more than technological advancement. It embodies Amal’s commitment to creating 21st-century learning environments that inspire creativity, develop critical skills, and prepare students for life beyond school. Through strategic partnerships and infrastructure renewal, Amal continues to turn classrooms into spaces of discovery and possibility, ensuring every student has access to the educational excellence they deserve.
